Gary Neville has labelled Manchester United's reported plan to cap wages at the club to £200,000 per week as 'strange', as he pointed to Casemiro's salary as a potential issue with the rule.
Recent reports have hinted that United are planning to introduce a so-called 'Ronaldo rule' in a bid to stop any members of the squad becoming jealous of their teammates' wages. The rule would see all salaries limited at £200k per week, regardless of seniority.
But former United captain Neville is far from convinced with the idea. He took to social media to share his concerns over the proposal and question the merits behind its introduction.
