Manchester United get transfer warning from Bayern Munich over striker targets

Bayern Munich's president has confirmed the club will be 'able to spend 100 million euros' on signing a striker this summer.

Robert Lewandowski left Bayern to join Barcelona last year and the German giants are now in the market for his replacement after going the season without a world-class striker.

Bayern are said to be interested in Randal Kolo Muani, Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen and they could face competition from Manchester United for those players, as Erik ten Hag has all three on his transfer shortlist.

Kane is the priority target at Old Trafford but with Tottenham reluctant to sell, other striker options are being considered.

Bayern's president Herbert Hainer recently discussed his club's transfer policy and he confirmed their plan to sign a striker. Hainer outlined Bayern would be able to spend north of €100m but he warned the player must suit the club for that sort of fee.

“There aren't many strikers who can play at this level," he told Corriere dello Sport. "That's why the same names are always mentioned and the competition is fierce for them. As a striker costs a lot, we have to make sure he fits in well at Bayern.

"The same names are mentioned in the media: Kolo Muani, Harry Kane, Osimhen, and Vlahovic? We are looking closely at them to see who suits Bayern best. We are also analysing the economic part. I am convinced that we will find a good solution."

Hainer added: "FC Bayern is able to spend 100 million euros, but of course everything has to be right for a transfer like this. We're looking for a centre-forward - but unfortunately there aren't that many like that and they're all quite expensive."

Bayern are believed to be leading the pursuit for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Kolo Muani.
