Lisandro Martinez and his Manchester United teammates had little to celebrate on his Premier League debut.
However, as the dust continues to settle on that Old Trafford defeat, summer signing Martinez did give supporters something to chant about on Sunday afternoon. Martinez started alongside Harry Maguire at centre-back as United went down 2-1 against Brighton.
Following ex-Ajax manager Erik ten Hag from Amsterdam to United this summer, the Argentina centre-back is one of three recruits welcomed on board so far this window. Tyrell Malacia and Christian Eriksen are the others, and Ten Hag continues to work towards further signings.

Having made his way as a young professional at Newell's and Defensa in his homeland, Martinez was signed by Ten Hag for Ajax in 2019 and went on to play 119 games for the Eredivisie outfit. United won the race for his signature this summer, despite concrete interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal.
Martinez, 24, signed on the dotted line for £46.8million and that fee could rise to £55.3million with add-ons.
Given his existing relationship with Ten Hag, choosing United was a no-brainer for the seven-cap international and that decision has already seen the combative Argentine serenaded by supporters at Old Trafford as they blasted out the new chant in the concourse for the first time on Sunday afternoon.
It goes: "Ohhhh Lisandro's f****** magic, he wears a magic hat. When he saw Old Trafford, he said I fancy that.
"He nearly signed for Arsenal, but snubbed them 'cause they're s****. He signed for Man United 'cause they're f****** dynamite."
