Goncalo Ramos has set Manchester United fans' pulses racing, following his superb hat trick for Portugal.
The 21-year-old was tasked with leading the line for Fernando Santos' side against Switzerland and wasted no time on introducing himself on the biggest stage of them all with an impressive hat-trick to set his side well on their way. The Benfica forward was handed his chance to impress as former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo was of course left out of the starting XI and being put on the bench.
Goals from Pepe, Raphael Guerreiro and Rafael Leao sealed the win for Portugal in a pulsating last-16 tie at the Qatar 2022 World Cup, as Manchester City's Manuel Akanji grabbed what only proved to be a consolation goal for Switzerland in the second half.

Ramos was handed his opportunity to lead the line as former United No.7 Ronaldo was dramatically axed from the starting line-up having been critcised for his antics after being substituted against South Korea during their group stage match. Ramos is already attracted large-scale attention across Europe, with the striker seemingly the next prospect of the Benfica production line.
Filling in for Darwin Nunez following his exit for Liverpool this summer, some United fans believe the forward is a ready-made replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.
