Manchester United fans send Man City message to Raphael Varane after Bournemouth win

Manchester United fans have urged Raphael Varane to ensure bitter rivals Manchester City do not win the treble.

City were named Premier League champions on Saturday after Arsenal were beaten 1-0 by Nottingham Forest. They are also through to the final of the UEFA Champions League after beating Real Madrid, where they will meet Italian giants Inter Milan.

United face Pep Guardiola's side at Wembley in the FA Cup final, which is the first-ever Manchester derby at this stage in the competition. Victory for United would stop City from emulating their historic treble-winning season from 1999 - with United fans desperately hoping their side can win to claim some silverware and prevent City's Treble bid.

After beating Bournemouth 1-0 on Saturday, United need just one point from their final two league outings to secure a top-four finish and Champions League football next season. Despite that, United fans were only interested in one thing.

Varane posted on his Instagram page reflecting on the win and the comments were flooded with the same message. 'Stop Man City winning the treble'.

Liverpool's dropped points at Aston Villa means a point against Chelsea on Thursday will secure Champions League football for Erik ten Hag's side. Newcastle United will also qualify with a point from their final two fixtures.

Here's what fans had to say on social media:

Lennyturner_: Now let’s stop City winning the treble

Miss_Lecious: Top 4 here we come congratulations Rapha solid defense now win us the FA Cup

Nicolai.klausen: Love u bro. Come on United. Rapahel i believe in you. You Will bring Manchester United glory to the club
