Manchester United fans were sent into panic mode early on Friday morning as reports emerged that there were problems over the potential transfers of Tyrell Malacia and Frenkie de Jong. There were concerns Malacia's decision to change agent, who also represents De Jong, could put the deals in jeopardy.
However, the Manchester Evening News understands that these issues were quickly resolved and the transfers are progressing along as expected. United are also pushing forward by pursuing other targets.
Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez is now Erik ten Hag's top defensive target. Jurrien Timber was of interest to United earlier in the window but due to uncertainty over his World Cup spot it seemed that a move quickly became unlikely.

Antony and Christian Eriksen are two other players Ten Hag wants to bring in, but Ajax's lofty valuation of Antony could prove to be a significant obstacle to that deal, while Eriksen is yet to decide on his future.
