Manchester United fans react as Antony 'strike at Ajax continues into second day'

It's no secret Manchester United are interested in Antony. The Brazilian winger, who would cost upwards of €80m (£67.8m), played under Erik ten Hag at Ajax and has been targeted as the player to solve the club's ongoing issues on the right wing.

De Telegraaf reported that United had made an €80m bid for the 22-year-old but Ajax had rejected it as they did not want to lose the player after already losing their manager and four key players this summer. Ten Hag has already reunited with Lisandro Martinez at Old Trafford, with the Argentine being signed for an initial fee of £46m.

Antony missed training on Friday and Saturday, and it is reported he is set to miss Ajax's game against Sparta Rotterdam on Sunday.
