Frenkie de Jong 'liked' another Manchester United post on social media to set fans' tongues wagging once again as talks continue over a deal for the Barcelona midfielder.
United’s pursuit of the midfielder might be the worst kept secret in football. New manager Erik ten Hag has identified him as an ideal target as he begins his rebuild, with United confirming the signing of Tyrell Malacia on Tuesday, and Christian Eriksen likely to be announced in the coming days.
Supporters have had to remain patient on De Jong though, with the club having been in discussions with Barcelona for more than 50 days now. United are understood to have agreed a fee with Barcelona for the player, but hurdles are still said to remain over getting the deal over the line.

On Tuesday night, De Jong got United fans excited as he 'liked' another post on United's Instagram page, which marked his compatriot Malacia's arrival in Manchester. The reaction on social media was typical of United fans in the transfer window.
