Manchester United expect Dutch forward Brian Brobbey to sign for Ajax.
Brobbey, 20, has emerged as the latest Dutch-affiliated player new United manager Erik ten Hag has targeted amid doubts over Cristiano Ronaldo's future.
Ajax have already reinforced their attack with the signing of Steven Bergwijn from Tottenham and senior United sources expect Brobbey to join the Dutch champions permanently.

Brobbey moved to Ajax on loan from RB Leipzig in January and scored seven times but only made six starts.
Despite Brobbey's low profile, United have decided to back Ten Hag's recommendations in the transfer market over their recruitment department. The Manchester Evening News revealed this week United's scouts identified Pau Torres of Villarreal as their prime option for a new left-footed centre-back but they were overruled in favour of Ten Hag's choice of Lisandro Martinez, whom he coached at Ajax.
Brobbey, Martinez, Christian Eriksen, Frenkie de Jong, Antony and signing Tyrell Malacia have all either played for Ajax or in the Eredivisie. Ten Hag's initial preferred pick to strengthen at centre-back was Ajax and Netherlands centre-back Jurrien Timber.
United sources have also dismissed Brentford manager Thomas Frank's comments Eriksen could stay at the London club. Eriksen, 30, has verbally agreed to join United, who are still negotiating with the Danish playmaker.
Eriksen is still a free agent and there is uncertainty over whether he could complete a medical in time to join up for United's week-long stay in Melbourne. United play Liverpool in Bangkok on Tuesday and arrive in Australia the next day.
United were preparing contracts for Eriksen as of Monday and he is the latest player they are involved in protracted negotiations with to sign. United are into a ninth week of finalising a move for Barcelona midfielder De Jong.
