Erik ten Hag has confirmed Manchester United playmaker Donny van de Beek is out for the rest of the season.

The 25-year-old's leg buckled under a challenge by Bournemouth midfielder Marcos Senesi in United's 3-0 win on January 3.

Ten Hag said Van de Beek had not ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament: "Yes, it is his knee. On the long-term, it is looking really good, he will be back for the start of pre-season. The rest of the season he is out.
