Manchester United reportedly believe Napoli star Victor Osimhen will be available for around £130million, though Erik ten Hag remains in the dark over what transfer funds will be available this summer.
The striker has played a crucial part in guiding his club to the Serie A title, his 23rd league goal of the season confirming their success in last week’s 1-1 draw with Udinese. He is said to be a wanted man this summer with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea linked.
United’s top target is Harry Kane although Osimhen is on Ten Hag’s shortlist. Napoli are adamant that the 24-year-old will not leave this summer.

However, it is thought United understand that £130m will be enough to tempt the Italians into a sale. That’s according to the Daily Mail, who say Bayern Munich have ruled themselves out of the race due to the high fee.
They claim the German heavyweights are instead focusing their attention on Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani, who is also one of the names on Ten Hag’s shortlist.
Elsewhere, Mundo Deportivo claim Barcelona are due to sit down with Frenkie de Jong in the hope of agreeing a new deal with reduced terms as the La Liga leaders try to balance the books amid their financial turmoil.
De Jong has already been at odds with the club over wage issues in the past, with it being the stumbling block that prevented United getting any further with their agreement in principle for the playmaker last summer.
The issue is now said to have been resolved although another attempt to alter wages has the potential to see De Jong become disillusioned. The alternative for Barcelona is to sell De Jong, which may prompt a bid from United with Ten Hag also eager to bring in a midfielder this summer.
