Manchester United "believe they can still convince Declan Rice of a move to Old Trafford in the summer", according to reports.
West Ham midfielder Rice is widely expected to depart the club during the next transfer window, having opened up on his desire to play in the Champions League while on international duty for England at the World Cup last year. The former Chelsea academy midfielder is said to be attracting interest from some of the Premier League's top clubs, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City all having been linked with the England international recently.
But, according to Football Insider, Manchester United are "hopeful" that they can persuade Rice to join Erik ten Hag's side, despite the player's wish to remain in London. The report adds that United "hope to blow Arsenal out of the water" for Rice, who is valued at around £150million by West Ham's boss David Moyes.

It is also claimed that Rice is "dead set on a move" with United ready to try and entice the player to Old Trafford in the summer.
Elsewhere, TEAMtalk claims that United are set to battle it out with Chelsea and Arsenal for the signature of Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez this summer. It is claimed that "Martinez’s suitors are aware Inter’s financial problems mean they could be forced to cash-in on Martinez at the end of the season".
The report adds that Tottenham's unwillingness to sell Harry Kane to a direct Premier League rival has bumped Martinez up United's wishlist of strikers this summer, with the club also understood to be monitoring Napoli's Victor Osimhen. But Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is credited as being a "big admirer of the striker", while Chelsea could also offer him the chance to move to England.
It is claimed that Martinez is "open" to a move to the Premier League and that a "deal increasingly looks there for the making" due to Inter's current financial situation.
