Manchester United have agreed to sell Dylan Levitt to Dundee United, with talks now at an advanced stage over his departure.
The Manchester Evening News understands the Welsh midfielder had plenty of interest from EFL clubs this summer, including the possibility of a move to Derby before Wayne Rooney quit as manager last month. Cardiff were also linked with a move.
However, Levitt is now set to re-join Dundee United following an excellent loan spell with the Scottish Premiership side last season, where he established himself as one of their most important players. It is understood Levitt could be announced as a Dundee United player before the end of the week and will likely be named as part of the Scottish side's squad ahead of their Spanish training camp this weekend.

The academy graduate played 29 times and netted six goals as he won the club’s Fans Player of the Year award and helped Dundee United qualify for European competition for the first time in 10 years.
United had triggered a one-year extension in Levitt's contract at the start of last month to protect his market value heading into the summer transfer window. The 21-year-old was entering the final month of his contract when United took their option of an additional year, but with the intention of listening to offers for him this summer.
Levitt is aware that he needs to continue playing regular first team football to push onto the next level, but he now feels confident of playing at a high level after his successful loan in Scotland.
The youngster acknowledged the challenge of breaking into the United first-team under Erik ten Hag next season and accepted he might have to do what is best for his career next season if he is to fulfil his dream of playing an important role for Wales at the World Cup later this year.
The Welshman joined United at the age of eight and made his senior debut for the club when they faced Astana in the Europa League back in 2019.
