The highly-rated teenager has captained England at U16 and U17 level but is set to leave Brighton after failing to agree terms on a new deal with the club.

Collyer was a key player for The Seagulls at youth level last season, when he played 25 games for their U18 and U23s sides, though he has only featured once for the club this campaign.

The teenager is predominantly a defensive midfielder, but he does also have experience of playing in a central defensive role at U18s level on occasion last season.

Collyer made his debut for Brighton U23s as a 17-year-old last year when he featured against Tottenham in January 2021.
