The cream of Manchester from the hospitality, fashion, entertainment, sports and business world were honoured at a glittering awards night in Manchester. The This is Manchester Awards returned for a fourth annual event with an all-star guest list at the Hilton Hotel on Deansgate.
And Manchester's best restaurants, bars, chefs and entrepreneurs were in attendance to hear if they had scooped one of the titles at the event. Winners on the night included former MasterChef champion Simon Wood, who claimed the title of Leading Chef for his work at his fine dining restaurant Wood in Manchester.
Leading Bar of the Year went to the ever-popular Oast House on Spinningfields, which is known for its seasonal events outside on its huge piazza. There were foodie honours for long-established Northern Quarter restaurant TNQ, as well as for all-you-can-eat meat restaurant Fazenda, while Middle-Eastern-inspired Habas was named Newcomer of the year.

The luxurious Stock Exchange Hotel, co-owned by former Manchester United captain Gary Neville, scooped the Leading Hotel of the Year title. Meanwhile Manchester Central, which this weekend will host the huge Manchester Art Fair, was named Leading Live Event Venue of the Year.
Over 400 people attended the 2022 event including a host of famous faces walking the red carpet at the Hilton. That included former Coronation Street star sisters Brooke Vincent and Helen Flanagan, former soap star brothers Adam Thomas and Ryan Thomas, and Love Island's Molly Smith, Callum Jones and Jacques O'Neill.
The glittering bash was hosted by entrepreneur Scott Thomas and TV presenter Jenny Powell. Awards were presented to rising stars from the world of fashion, entertainment, sports, hospitality, technology, property, as well as those that have contributed to the betterment of the Greater Manchester community.

Alongside the shortlisted businesses, organisations, charities and individuals across various industry categories, the Supernova award was presented by Nazir Afzal, former Chief Crown Prosecutor for NW England to serial entrepreneur Dr. Nighat Awan OBE, CEO of Shere Khan Group.
She was recognised for her charity work, specifically that which aims to support the young people, women and disadvantaged groups in Greater Manchester.
She joins a list of previous winners of the prestigious award John Roberts (AO.com), Fred Done (Bet Fred) and Marcus Rashford MBE.
Monies raised on the night were donated to the HideOut Youth Zone Manchester and the event was supported by headline sponsors The Couture Club. Couture Club boss Ross Worswick attended the event fresh from his stunning wedding to Danielle Fogarty.
