He has now been named as Callum Miller ahead of the coroner's inquest on Monday (January 31).
Paige, from Birmingham, was killed in the crash while Mr Miller died in hospital a few days after, the Liverpool ECHO reports.
Merseyside Police officers were called to the Birkenhead Tunnel at 12.30am on October 17 following reports of a crash between an Audi S3 and a taxi.
The taxi driver, a man in his 40s, was seriously injured in the crash.
Police said the driver was not the subject of any criminal inquiries.
On November 17, the family and friends of Paige Rice said their final goodbye at a funeral held at Woodlands Crematorium in Birmingham.
The nail technician from the West Midlands would have been 23 the day before she was laid to rest.
Following Paige's death her mum Clare paid a heartbreaking tribute to her daughter.
She told BirminghamLive : "Paige was just so full of life. She lived life to the full. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. Her smile would light up a room."
An online fundraising campaign created to support Paige's family has since raised more than £32,000, including a £5,000 donation from Manchester City and England footballer Jack Grealish.
The inquest, conducted to establish the circumstances surrounding the death, will take place on Monday at 2pm at Gerard Majella Courthouse in Kirkdale.
