Manchester City have picked a makeshift defence to face Wolves today with three star men out of action for the rest of the season.
Pep Guardiola saw his side build-up a three-point lead over title rivals Liverpool by thrashing Newcastle 5-0 a day after Jurgen Klopp’s team dropped points at home to Tottenham, though the Reds are now level again - but still second on goal difference - after winning at Aston Villa last night.
Still, the victory over Newcastle came at a cost with Ruben Dias joining England duo Kyle Walker and John Stones on the sidelines for the rest of the campaign.
That results in Fernandinho partnering Aymeric Laporte in central defence at Molineux this evening, with Nathan Ake carrying a knock and Joao Cancelo and Oleksandr Zinchenko the only fit senior full-backs.

Jack Grealish enjoyed perhaps his best game in a City shirt against Newcastle yet misses out on another starting berth.
Guardiola said of the injury situation on Tuesday: “Nothing changed after the game against Newcastle. We are who we are and are going into the last three games with the players we have and go for it.
“We have problems in other departments but the others are going to solve it.”
Man City XI: Ederson; Cancelo, Fernandinho, Laporte, Zinchenko; Rodri, Gundogan, Bernardo; Sterling, De Bruyne, Foden.
Subs: Steffen, Ake, Jesus, Grealish, Mahrez, Egan-Riley, Mbete, Palmer, Lavia.
Injured: Walker (ankle), Dias (hamstring), Stones (muscle)
