Weird collaborations are always fun, and one of the biggest teams in soccer is delving into a special metaverse event.
On Friday, Manchester City and Puma announced a collaboration with Roblox revealing an all-new line of 2022/23 alternate jerseys. It’s a bright yellow kit available in the real world and in-game. See what I mean about being strange? Manchester players like Laura Coombs, Kalvin Phillips, and Ruben Dias helped model the jerseys. Fans can scoop up the flashy threads for the next two weeks through in-game activities or purchase those items through the Puma gear shop.
Below is a brief video showing off the Manchester City jerseys in Roblox.

“We’re thrilled to continue evolving our experience within Roblox with our Puma and the Land of Games,” Ivan Dashkov, creative culture director at Puma, said via the Manchester City website. “We couldn’t think of a better partner than Manchester City and this kit launch to push the limits by doing something different and innovative. As we continue to test and learn in the Web3 space, we are looking forward to leveraging Roblox as a platform to connect with fans of all ages.”
Furthermore, Puma is hosting a “Football Rush” event that’ll be streaming on YouTube. It’s a 5v5 tournament with $10,000 awarded to the champions. So you better ask your kid how to ‘get good’ fast.
Maybe this will somewhat lessen the ‘oof’ removal that fans are still upset over.
