Manchester City's 32-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League came to an end with a surprising 2-1 defeat at the hands of Bournemouth. The loss allowed Liverpool to reclaim the lead in the title race.

Bournemouth took a stunning 2-0 lead with goals from Antoine Semenyo and Evanilson, holding off City's comeback attempt. Despite Josko Gvardiol pulling one goal back for City, they couldn't overturn the deficit. City's defeat marked their first league loss of 2024 and their second consecutive 2-1 defeat in all competitions.
