A man who worked at Manchester Airport for 28 years has quit his job after being appalled at the way it is currently being run.
Ray Ellis, 54, said he has resigned in protest over what he calls "chaotic operations", amid repeated reports of delays, huge queues and missed flights. Mr Ellis said he fears for passengers' safety and security.
Just this weekend, images have been shared of boxes piled high at security gate checks and reports of holidaymakers jumping over barriers and jostling for space. Baggage handlers, meanwhile, claim they are under more stress, and EasyJet cancelled dozens of flights due to staff sickness.
