Passengers at Manchester Airport have taken to social media to vent their frustration after reportedly facing long queues and bagging issues amid what they described as "absolute carnage". One furious traveller described the scenes as "hell on earth".
Customers have said they are "upset, anxious and frustrated as they face huge queues at check-in desks as well as long waits for luggage in arrivals. A number of people have posted of their frustration on social media, with Martin Daniels tweeting a picture of a queue for check-in and saying he didn't 'think he would make his flight'.
Bryan Elwick also posted a video of a crowded check-in hall and said the queue 'was almost down to the railway station'. At around 5.20am, Marion Wolstenholme tweeted: "Chaos @manairport this morning. Almost 2 hours queuing to drop of case & still no end in sight."
