Passengers are reporting huge queues at Manchester Airport amid a rush in holidaymakers wanting to go abroad. The airport apologised to passengers on Monday, April 4 after bosses warned that passengers could face queues for 'several weeks' due to staff shortages.
Disgruntled passengers have been posting pictures of the mammoth queues they are facing ahead of their flights as they attempt to get through security and onto the plane. Some have taken to social media labelling their experience as "an absolute disgrace" as "scary queues" met them upon their arrival, Manchester Evening News reports.
One reporter, who has boarded a flight from Manchester Airport to Dublin, was told by their captain that their take-off had been delayed because of a lack of staff - adding "it is out of our hands". More and more holidaymakers have been coming forward with their chaotic experiences at the airport.
