A family from Skelmersdale are £1,500 out of pocket after missing their flight due to the ongoing chaos at Manchester Airport.
Michelle Donohue, her husband Robert and their 12-year-old son, were aware of the queues at the airport so arrived four hours early. However their flight still took off without them, despite it returning to the runway and being delayed.
The 32-year-old mum said it would have been the family's first trip abroad since the Covid-19 pandemic began. They were due to fly to Rome from Manchester Airport on Tuesday, April 5, on the 7.15am Ryanair service.
