A man who went missing in the days leading up to Christmas was found dead in Worsley Woods, an inquest has heard.
Johnny Itute Tama, 38, was found unresponsive on December 22, after a 'high risk police search', police coroner's officer Rachel O'Driscoll told Bolton Coroners' Court. The delivery driver from Eccles had been reported missing by his concerned family.
Ms O'Driscoll said: "On 22 December 2022, Johnny Tama was found following a high risk police search, after concerns were raised by family. He was found in a section of Worsley Woods."

Following a post mortem, pathologist Dr Usha Chandran recorded the provisional cause of Mr Tama's death as 'hanging'. Area coroner Prof Dr Alan Walsh requested statements from Mr Tama's GP, mental health services, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) and the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC).
The inquest was adjourned until May 25. It will be held at Bolton Coroners' Court at 2pm.
