Man who 'handed in document in name of Lisa Thompson' to garda station asked to come forward

Gardai are appealing to a man to come forward in their investigation into the murder of tragic Lisa Thompson.

Officers say that on Thursday, May 12 at 7:10am, a man "handed a document in the name of the deceased Lisa Thompson" to a member of gardai at the front door of Finglas Garda Station, before leaving on foot.

A garda spokesman said that officers in Ballymun are "appealing to this male to make urgent contact with the investigation team at Ballymun Garda station at 01 666 4400 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111."

The body of Ms Thompson, who was brutally stabbed up to 12 times, was discovered in her home at Sandyhill Gardens, Ballymun last Tuesday.

A vigil will take place for the mum-of-two outside Axis, an arts and community resource centre in Ballymun, on Friday evening.

A Facebook event reads: “In response to the tragic and very sudden death of Lisa Thompson, we as a community feel we should get together and show solidarity with her heartbroken family and friends.

“We would like to invite you to come together to remember Lisa with a minute silence and candlelit vigil.”
