A MAN who allegedly snatched a toy poodle from a woman, locked himself and the dog in a car and seriously injured the animal before violently resisting arrest has been sent for a mental health assessment.
Police were having trouble controlling Daniel Galea, 44, at Wyong police station on Friday morning and he was not able to be brought on screen to appear in a bail division court over a number of serious charges.
