Former Aston Villa star Gabriel Agbonlahor has urged Manchester United to make a summer move for Joao Felix as their current crop of attackers are not good enough.
Felix joined Chelsea on a loan deal in the January transfer window and has featured heavily for the Blues since then. He has made 12 appearances in all competitions and scored two goals, though the team as a whole have struggles.
While he is impressing at Stamford Bridge, the Blues do not have a clause giving them an option to buy him in the summer. The manager who brought him to the club, Graham Potter, has also been sacked, casting fresh doubt on his future beyond the end of the season.
And if he is available to buy in the summer window, Agbonlahor believes United have to attempt to buy him. The former Villa skipper brutally dismissed Anthony Martial, Wout Weghorst, Antony and Jadon Sancho as not being good enough.
Agbonlahor believes that poor standard of attackers leaves United at risk of being 'embarrassed' in the Champions League next year. And he insisted that Felix is the perfect man to boost their options.
"I really like what he’s done so far. I don’t see any reason why Man United can’t get him. They need options if they’re in the Champions League next season. Martial isn’t good enough, nor is Weghorst – scrap them," he told Football Insider.

Antony and Sancho haven’t been great, so you’re talking about Rashford as their only threat. They need help, or it could be an embarrassing time in the Champions League for them. Felix, for me, would be a good signing for them.”
Felix has admitted that he does not know what the future holds for him beyond the summer. The Portuguese attacker still has four years remaining on his contract at Atletico Madrid.
But the LaLiga side have attempted to sell him over the past year, with his game-time dwindling. While he left the door open to continuing at Atletico, Felix has admitted he is unsure of his next move.
"They don't have a purchase option. They would have to reach an agreement with Atletico. I've only been here a few weeks, a month. I am knowing everything. I am very comfortable, but the future, nobody knows," Felix told AS in February.
"I was already looking for a change of scene a while ago because it was difficult to get used to the way of playing. I left because my head was already full from tyring so hard and not being able to.
"I don't know what is going to happen in my life, nor is it known what will become of Cholo, as I told you, we will have to wait until June."
