The stakes are already high for Manchester United just two games into Erik ten Hag's tenure, but they will hope new signings can drag them out of the mire.
Two defeats from two and six goals conceded have ensured United go into gameweek three sitting rock bottom of the Premier League table. Things aren't about to get any easier, either, with Liverpool coming to Old Trafford on Monday night.
United's new signings haven't set the world alight so far, but they will hope Casemiro can hit the ground running after completing his move from Real Madrid. The Brazilian is unlikely to be the last new face, though, though Ten Hag and the club's higher-ups are running out of time to plug the gaps in the squad.
Here are the latest transfer rumours and updates from around Old Trafford, with less than a fortnight of the transfer window remaining.
Antony drops future hint
Manchester United target Antony has turned down the opportunity to reassure Ajax fans over his future. The Brazil international thrived for the Amsterdam side under Erik ten Hag, and could be reunited with the Dutch manager at Old Trafford.
"No, to be perfectly honest, I can't [offer reassurances], he told De Telegraaf (via the Manchester Evening News ). What I can say is that I want to come to the right decision with my family, business partners and Ajax, which is good for everyone.
"In the end, God determines my future. I am very happy at Ajax, I have a contract until the summer of 2025 and I will give everything for this beautiful club for every second."
Five in for McTominay
Five Premier League teams could battle it out for Scott McTominay, amid suggestions he could lose his starting spot for Man Utd. With Casemiro arriving from Real Madrid, the Scotland international will likely be in demand.

According to 90min, Newcastle United are among the clubs in the mix for the 25-year-old. Southampton, Everton, Leicester City and West Ham United have also been mentioned in connection with the academy product, along with unnamed clubs on the continent.
Man Utd's move for Casemiro also means they will drop their interest in Frenkie de Jong, according to The Athletic. The Dutch international has been a long-term target for Erik ten Hag, who worked with his compatriot at Ajax.
Meunier would prefer Barca
Manchester United's right-back search has taken them all across Europe, with Belgium international Thomas Meunier one of the latest names to be linked. However, the Borussia Dortmund man is believed to prefer Barcelona to United.
According to Mundo Deportivo (via Football Espana ), Barcelona is Meunier's "priority". He has been a Dortmund player since 2020, having previously won a number of Ligue 1 titles with Paris Saint-Germain.
The Belgian's preference comes as United continue to be linked with a right-back currently at Barcelona. Sergino Dest worked under Erik ten Hag at Ajax, and the United States international could be available this summer for the right price.
