Manchester United have been told to target a quartet of attackers if they fail to sign Harry Kane this summer.
Louis Saha has stated his belief that Tottenham forward Kane should be the priority for the Red Devils, but would like to see France international Randal Kolo Muani considered as an alternative.
“I think Kolo Muani would be a very good signing for Man United,” he told DAZN Bet. “Not only as a No9, he can play either side of a three. He’s a very clever player, very quick, sharp with his feet and very intelligent.
“He’s already established a good link with Kylian Mbappe for France. He’s aware of everything, he has the talent to go short or long, he’s very clever and he will be a real danger in the Premier League if he comes, especially with [Marcus] Rashford and [Jadon] Sancho.
“That will be really hard for defences. It could be a very clever move, there is room for improvement. There are lots of names like that who can contribute.
“But Kolo Muani is a very intelligent player, he has lots of stamina, he can run all day and will fit into the game plan that Ten Hag loves. He’s one for the future. He can learn for a season, and then have a huge impact in the next two or three years, that makes sense.”
Former United star Saha also described Victor Osimhen as the “obvious” alternative to Kane following his fine form with Napoli.
Atalanta’s Danish youngster Rasmus Hojlund is a more unknown option in the market for the Frenchman, with Rafael Leao another option out of Serie A.
“I’d like to see United sign AC Milan star Rafael Leao, I like him a lot,” he added.
“There are many players out there. But really I have only one name in mind who makes sense, and I believe no matter what the price Man Utd should sign Kane, there is no mistake out there.”
