Manchester United transfer target Wout Weghorst has been labelled "arrogant" and unafraid of confrontation with team-mates, with a specific example doubtless etched in the minds of Wales fans.
Weghorst, 30, has an excellent career goalscoring record in the Netherlands, Germany and Besiktas, however he endured a meagre spell at Burnley.
Having joined in January of 2022, the Dutch international netted just two league goals in 20 appearances as the Clarets lost their battle against Premier League relegation.

After that, of course, came the summer internationals, when Wales lined up against Netherlands in a Nations League match. Rob Page's side were beaten 2-1 at Cardiff City Stadium, with Weghorst heading home in added time to put the Dutch at the top of the group.
Following the final whistle, Connor Roberts, himself a feisty competitor, confronted his Burnley team-mate and pointedly asked him: "Why didn't you do that for Burnley?"
Weghorst snapped back: "This isn't about Burnley, shut up!"

The Athletic have weighed up the pros and cons of United's links with Weghorst, who has shot back into form with eight goals in 16 games for Besiktas this season.
He is from the same region of the Netherlands as United boss Erik ten Hag, Twente, and is described as an "intelligent" footballer who has the ability to drop deep and create, as well as score goals. Of course, he appears to have proved that everywhere bar Turf Moor.
However, among the weaknesses they have listed his perceived lack of quality in the air compared to a Chris Wood or Ashley Barnes, while the report also cites "there were suggestions he clashed with team-mates due to his self-confidence, which some took as bordering on arrogance" while at Burnley.
The striker is also described as "ultra-competitive" and "is not scared to share his thoughts with team-mates if he feels they are not pulling their weight".
His confrontational streak also saw him lock horns with Lionel Messi during the World Cup. Weghorst scored twice in the quarter-final clash, taking the game into extra-time and then penalties, which the Dutch ultimately lost.
In the tunnel after the match, Messi reportedly shouted at Weghorst: "Anda Palla, Bobo" - which translates to: "Keep moving, idiot!"
As Connor Roberts will attest, Weghorst is seemingly never too far away from a confrontation. And don't expect him to back down any time soon, either.
