Wolves and Newcastle have joined Manchester United in the race to sign teenage sensation Benjamin Sesko, according to reports.
The RB Salzburg man has attracted attention from a number of clubs this summer after impressing during his breakout campaign in Austria, where he scored 11 goals and grabbed seven assists in 37 matches last term. He also stood out against Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday.
Sesko scored the only goal of the game as Salzburg secured a 1-0 win over the Reds at the Red Bull Arena. The attacker showed excellent ball control to skip past Ibrahima Konate with ease, before playing a one-two and then coolly slotting the ball into the bottom corner.
It was a finish of pure class, and Sesko demonstrated why United are keen while Wolves and Newcastle have also expressed an interest in the player, as per 90min. The Red Devils have reportedly been approached by his representatives, while the other two Premier League clubs 'have also watched him closely'.
But United could face a repeat of their pursuit in Erling Haaland with Sesko if they fail to get this one over the line and he decides to join another team instead. The Red Devils were interested in the Norwegian international as they tried to bolster their attacking department, before Manchester City swooped in to sign him.
This could prove to be a similar situation as the Red Devils face competition for the 19-year-old's signature. Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig all also keen on Sesko, although Salzburg do not plan to sell him.

Wolves are desperate to add another attacker to their squad after it was confirmed that Raul Jimenez will miss up to two months with a knee injury. They would be able to give him regular game time in the top-flight, but there is stiff competition for Sesko, who is one of the best young players in Europe and is rated very highly.
It is understood that there is more chance Sesko will join Newcastle, United or Bayern if he does depart Salzburg. Erik ten Hag has turned to the exciting forward after failing to sign Darwin Nunez, Haaland and Gianluca Scamacca amongst others this summer.
His agent, Elvis Basanovic, described him as "one of the best talents in the world at his age" to AS back in October. Basanovic added that Sesko is "a very complete striker who can score with his head, with his right foot, with his left foot, from inside the area, from distance, after dribbling or completing a team move."
