Benfica striker Darwin Nunez has set his sights on a summer move to the Premier League.
And that is certain to alert Manchester United who are looking for a new No.9 this summer and have got Nunez on their list of potential candidates.
But there could be a major sticking point in that Nunez wants Champions League football with Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid also watching developments and United will not be in Europe’s top competition. Nunez’s advisers believe his style could be well suited to English football and United have been monitoring developments in the hope the 22-year-old Uruguay international will prefer a Premier League switch.
