Can it get much lower for Manchester United? Well they've got Liverpool next week...
On this showing Erik ten Hag's side will be no match for Jurgen Klopp's as they were battered by a buzzing Brentford in west London.
United contributed to their own downfall as errors from David de Gea helped Josh Da Silva and Matthias Jensen give the Bees a commanding two-goal lead against their shocked visitors, who were unable to raise themselves at all.
Ten Hag could only watch on dumbfounded as United were all over the place, conceding from a corner when Ben Mee nodded in unchallenged and then sliced open before Bryan Mbeumo made it 4-0 in the 35th minute.
The only solace for United was that they didn't concede any more on a remarkable evening.
Here's how the players rated.
David de Gea: 1
He did make a save early in the second half to be fair to him, and that after all is his job, so we'll give him one.
That's because it's also his job not to let in soft goals from 25 yards and spread panic in his defence with a needless pass out from the back to a player who was surrounded by three of the opposition.
De Gea was seen having words with Christian Eriksen after that, and they weren't particularly pleasant ones.
In the state they're in United need him to perform, and well he didn't.
Diogo Dalot: 2
He's had a strange Manchester United career hasn't he? In that he didn't seem to be deemed good enough for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but now suddenly is for Ralf Rangnick and then Erik ten Hag.
Might be one of the few things Solskjaer got right.
Harry Maguire: 2
In games like this at tough places to go you want to your captain to stand up tall and be seen in the opening exchanges, not make a daft error and go into the book.
It didn't get any better for him from there.
Lisandro Martinez: 2
Speaking of standing up tall....
The diminutive Argentina defender certainly didn't do that for Mee's goal, and was hooked at half-time.
He was lucky to make it that far.
Luke Shaw: 2
Another hooked at the break, Shaw went off to the replaced by Tyrell Malacia, who must wonder what he's stumbled into.
Fred: 2
The third of the sacrificed half-time trio, the Brazilian saw Brentford's pressing attackers run off him time and again throughout a disjointed display that makes many wonder why he's still an automatic pick under so many managers.
Christian Eriksen: 3
Was played in a deeper role for some reason, especially against a side against whom you'd think he could have done damage further forward.
It turned into a difficult evening for the former Brentford man, who was barracked by home fans but did at least go sort of close with a header.
Jadon Sancho: 1
It says here that he started but I'm going to have to take that up with the Premier League. Not sure he did.
Bruno Fernandes: 2
Summoned up the energy to have a moan at the referee during the second half drinks break, although no-one seemed to know what for.
Marcus Rashford: 3
At one stage of the second half he dashed across the box and shifted the ball onto his right foot and threatened to do something, anything to liven up his side.
But failed.
Cristiano Ronaldo: 2
Threw his arms up a bit, shouted, looked a bit fed up.
The usual.
