There may be plenty of uncertainty at Manchester United but that isn't stopping Erik ten Hag from pressing on with his summer transfer plans.
As Sir Jim Ratcliffe closes in on victory over Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani in the long-running race to purchase the Premier League giants, United's takeover saga could soon come to an end. That'd be good news for Ten Hag, but the Red Devils boss has still kept on trucking throughout the seven months of his club being up for sale.
United are, of course, also focussing on a strong end to the season, with a top-four finish and return to the Champions League on the horizon. Meanwhile, there's the small matter of a Manchester derby FA Cup final to round out this mammoth campaign.

Kobel eyed to challenge De Gea
Erik ten Hag is interested in signing Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel to challenge David de Gea for the No.1 spot next season. De Gea, 32, set to sign a contract extension but his long-term future remains under question, with a number of shot-stoppers linked with replacing him.
The Independent report that Ten Hag is keen to have another option to battle for the gloves and a goalkeeper who can offer different tactical benefits, such as being more comfortable on the ball. 25-year-old Kobel is a Switzerland international and has spent two years with Dortmund, who'd be reluctant to let him leave. Chelsea are also said to be intent on a move.

Maguire told to leave
Rio Ferdinand has once again told Harry Maguire to leave Manchester United. The ex-Red Devils defender says that Maguire, 29 would be better off elsewhere, having become fifth-choice centre-back under Erik ten Hag.
Ferdinand was asked whether the United captain needs to search for a new club and he replied on his FIVE YouTube channel: "I think he needs to. If he wants to resurrect his career he has to go in the summer. He cannot stay there and play second fiddle."

Woodward secures new role
Ed Woodward has taken on his first role since quitting Manchester United over a year ago. The 51-year-old has become a non-executive director at an esports company, EStars.
Woodward spent a total 16 years at Old Trafford and was promoted by the Glazers to executive vice-chairman in 2013 upon David Gill's departure. He announced that he'd be quitting in the wake of the European Super League fiasco in April 2021, although it took 10 months for him to clear his desk and officially leave.
