Manchester United 's season ended on a low note in the FA Cup final as they were undone by Manchester City.
Attention though can turn to next season and this summer's recruitment as Erik ten Hag looks to build on a debut campaign that has seen silverware return to Old Trafford. He also achieved a top four finish meaning they will need to strengthen as they prepare for the Champions League.
Several priority positions have been identified, with a new No 9 thought to be top of the list. Ten Hag spent big in his first summer and may have to do so again if he wants to close on the elite.
Here's the latest news coming out of Old Trafford.
United close on £51m signing
The Red Devils appear to be closing in on the signing of Napoli star Kim Min-jae with a replacement already identified.
United have been chasing the South Korean defender for the last few months as they attempt to bolster their defence. It has been reported that United officials have held severals rounds of talks with the Serie A champions regarding a deal and it a breakthrough is thought to be close.
Napoli insiders are apparently confident a move will go through this summer and have already put plans in place to deal with his exit. According to CalcioMercato, United will activate the €60million written into his contract.
Goalkeeper target not thinking above move
Diogo Costa insists he "hopes to continue" at Porto amid links with United this summer.
The goalkeeper has firmly put himself on the map in Portugal after a stellar season in which he's kept 16 clean sheets. Porto have shown themselves willing to sell their top stars for the right fee, but the 23-year-old appears very content at the Estádio do Dragão.
United have been linked with several goalkeepers as doubts swirl over the future of David de Gea, who was again under the microscope at the weekend. Costa though doesn't appear keen on a move away, insisting he plays for his "favourite club".
Muani opens up on next move
Randal Kolo Muani won't be searching for the "perfect club" as he prepares to leave Eintracht Frankfurt this summer.
The French international caught the attention of top clubs during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, although missed a chance in the last minute of extra time in the final before Argentina prevailed on penalties. He has also impressed domestically, scoring 15 times in 32 appearances for his club in the Bundesliga this season.
PSG are also reportedly pursuing the 24-year-old, who arrived in Germany last year after three years at Nantes. But he's now spoken out on speculation, and has hinted he'd favour a move to Old Trafford over a return to his homeland.
