Manchester United can extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to 10 games if they avoid defeat at Aston Villa on Sunday.
One of their key players in that run has been David de Gea, who has put in a number of stunning performances in goal. But the Spaniard's contract expires in the summer and he has now been sent a warning about his expectations for new terms.
That warning comes as Cristiano Ronaldo was mocked by a rival team's mascot and Erik ten Hag revealed he is facing a selection dilemma for the clash with Villa. Here, Mirror Football rounds up the latest United news.
De Gea's contract warning
David de Gea has been a stalwart for Manchester United since joining from Atletico Madrid in 2011. He is the last player remaining at the club who won the Premier League while at the Red Devils.
But his contract is set to expire at the end of this season, with the Spaniard currently the second-highest earner at Old Trafford. There have been some doubts that boss Erik ten Hag will want to keep him as he looks to implement his style of play.
Added to that, De Gea has now been warned that he will have to substantially cut his wage demands if he wants to stay. His current deal earns him around £375,000 per week, but it is unlikely United will hand him such a lucrative contract again.

Ronaldo mocked by mascot
Thursday was a frustrating night for Cristiano Ronaldo, with the attacker failing to score against Real Sociedad. Though United won, the Spanish side still finished ahead of them in their Europa League group.
That led to celebrations among supporters of Sociedad at the final whistle as the Red Devils trudged off the pitch. And to add insult to injury, Ronaldo found himself getting mocked by Sociedad's mascot.
Named Txurdin, the bizarre looking character ran towards the front of one of the stands. He then proceeded to imitate Ronaldo's famous 'siu' celebration, delighting the home supporters.
Ten Hag's dilemma
United boss Ten Hag has revealed that he is facing a selection headache for his side's trip to Aston Villa. Bruno Fernandes has been a key member of his starting line-up, but is suspended for Sunday's visit to Birmingham.
That means that Ten Hag will have to deploy a new face in Fernandes' position in attacking midfield. And it is a decision that is causing the Dutchman a serious dilemma as he looks to continue his side's good form.
"We know that we have to replace Bruno, that is quite clear. We have to see how we replace him and we have to think about that, and it is short so soon after this game [against Real Sociedad on Thursday]. I have one night to think about that," he said.
