Manchester United’s quest for a new left back this summer may yet end in success, but it seemingly won’t take the shape of Newcastle United’s Lewis Hall.
The new Magpies boss Matthias Jaissle was quizzed by United’s legendary goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel over the weekend about the persistent links between the Red Devils and the English fullback. Jaissle had to double check that he understood the towering Dane’s line of inquiry properly before offering two words to shut down any further speculation. “No chance,” he replied, a glint in his eye and smile on his lips.
