Paulo Dybala's four-year-old Instagram post hailing Old Trafford is gathering traction with Manchester United fans - who want the Argentine at Old Trafford.
The forward played at the Theatre of Dreams back in October 2018 during his time at Juventus. Max Allegri's outfit secured a 1-0 win over United, then led by Jose Mourinho, thanks to a first-half strike from Dybala. The Argentine posted a picture in the lead up to the contest of himself walking onto the pitch.
He was clearly taken back by the stadium and posted on social media with the caption: "The Theatre of Dreams: to play in such historical stadiums you have to do a lot of sacrifices as a boy!"
Dybala recently became a free agent having left the Bianconeri at the end of last season.
No agreement could be reached and he is now assessing his options. A Premier League move is on his radar and there has been a raft of United fans commenting on his old post urging him to move to the Red Devils so that he can play at the stadium he was so impressed by.
Arsenal have also been linked with the 28-year-old but United's desire to add the Argentine may be accelerated if Cristiano Ronaldo does leave Old Trafford. The club's top scorer last term wants to quit after less than 12 months, which would leave United with minimal time to find a replacement.
Inter Milan had been keen to keep Dybala in Italy as they looked to lure him to the San Siro. However, they have halted their pursuit after sealing the return of Romelu Lukaku, albeit on loan, according to Sky Sport Italia.
The man helping in Inter's transfer business is Guiseppe Marotta - who signed Dybala from Palermo when he was at Juventus back in 2015. He has spoken out about the possibility of bringing in the Argentine but remained coy given the attacking options already at the club.
"Dybala is part of the many players available for free. I had never seen so many and it proves that football is changing and that more courage is needed at a youth level," said Marotta. "Dybala represented and still represents an opportunity, but we are OK in attack with valuable players who the coach will need to manage in the best way even if I have a solid bond with Dybala."
Dybala scored 115 times in 293 outings for Juventus with his best single-season haul coming back in 2017/18 when he notched 26 times in all competitions.
