Former Arsenal man Serge Gnabry has been one of Bayern Munich's star performers since making his debut for the Bundesliga leaders in 2018, but contract issues could pave the way for a return to the Premier League.
Manchester United and Liverpool are both keeping tabs on the German international's situation, with Gnabry's contract due to expire at the end of the 2022-23 season.
Liverpool strengthened their forward line in January with the signing of Luis Diaz from Porto, while Manchester United's window saw them send forward Anthony Martial out on loan to Sevilla.
However, it is unlikely that either side would pass up the opportunity to move for Gnabry if the 26-year-old is unable to reach an agreement with Bayern to extend his stay with the club, whether that's a free transfer in 2023 or a cut-price deal this summer.

Gnabry has scored 12 goals for Bayern this season, as well as four for Germany, and has 60 in total for Bayern since joining the club from Werder Bremen.
He signed a contract extension with the Bavarian side in 2019, having hit double-figures in his first full season with the club after impressing on loan at Hoffenheim.
According to Sky Germany, though, player and club are engaged in "contract poker" with Bayern unprepared to pay as much as the forward would be able to earn elsewhere.
Gnabry is reportedly keen to earn the same as teammates Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sane, both of whom are believed to be on around £240,000 per week.
He is believed to be keen to stay at the club, with an extension until 2026 or 2027 mooted, but there is still some work to do in order to keep him at the Allianz Arena.
If Bayern fail in that regard, United and Liverpool are "lying in wait", while Real Madrid and Barcelona are also believed to be keeping tabs on the German international.
Gnabry only played 18 times for Arsenal after joining the London side as a teenager, and scored just once under Arsene Wenger before being allowed to leave.
However, in six Bundesliga seasons - one for each of Werder Bremen and Hoffenheim and four in Bayern colours - he has scored at least 10 goals in the league every single time.
His best return came in the 2019-20 season, with 12 league goals and 23 in all competitions, including four in a Champions League group stage victory over Tottenham Hotspur as Bayern went on to win the competition.
Gnabry's 10 goals in 22 league games this season make him Bayern's second-highest league scorer behind Robert Lewandowski and the fifth-highest scorer in the Bundesliga overall, with Julian Nagelsmann's side leading the table for the majority of the season.
