Manchester United and Liverpool will reportedly have to pay just £26.2million if they want to sign wonderkid Youssoufa Moukoko in the January transfer window.
Moukoko has starred for Borussia Dortmund this season, having first made his debut back in November 2020. He has scored six goals and notched six assists so far this season, as well as holding the record for being the youngest player to feature in the Bundesliga.
But his contract at Signal Iduna Park expires at the end of the season, with growing concern among Dortmund chiefs that he will leave on a free transfer at the end of the campaign. Given his clear talent that would be a disaster for the German club and so they are preparing to sell him this January.
That has drawn the interest of both United and Liverpool, who are among the clubs eyeing a move for him. Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are also in the race to sign the 17-year-old attacker.
According to Sport Bild, Dortmund are looking for a fee of just £26.2m in return for German. Any team signing Moukoko will also have to pay out £6m in annual wages as he looks to be rewarded for the stunning start he has made to his career.
Interested suitors may get a prime chance to scout the 17-year-old wonderkid during the upcoming World Cup. He was surprisingly included in the Germany national team squad for the tournament, with boss Hansi Flick hailing his potential.

"We’ve got two new players in Youssoufa Moukoko and Niclas Füllkrug. We’re delighted for the pair of them – with Timo Werner and Lukas Nmecha out, they could give us that special something," Flick said.
"Both have improved fantastically this season. Youssoufa is just on a fantastic path of development. He’s quick, lively and has a great shot. We’re looking forward to seeing him. We have a lot of attackers who can play in several positions.
"To put our opponents under pressure, we need players who can run hard and work well off the ball. We have a lot of options in terms of playing with the ball; several players can fill those roles. Lots of things that we can’t prepare for can happen, though, so we’re very happy that our squad still has a lot of options within it."
Moukoko will start up-front for Dortmund when they travel to Borussia Monchengladbach on Friday night. The Black and Yellow can move up to second if they claim a win at Stadion im Borussia-Park.
It will be his last chance to convince Flick to hand him substantial game time in Qatar. Germany will be looking to win their fifth World Cup, having been knocked out in the group stages in Russia four years ago.
They will start their campaign with a match against Japan at the Khalifa International Stadium, before facing Spain and Costa Rica. Moukoko will be hoping he can convince the likes of United and Liverpool to firm up their interest in him in January with his performances.
