Manchester United will hope to hit the ground running again when they face Middlesbrough tonight at Old Trafford in the FA Cup fourth round.
It will be United’s first game since they beat West Ham nearly two weeks ago, with many players enjoying a winter break since then, and they will be hoping for an improved cup performance.
In the third round of the FA Cup, Aston Villa were much the better team but Ralf Rangnick’s side just about edged through.
They now face a Middlesbrough side that are sixth in the Championship and still in the hunt for promotion to the Premier League.
Chris Wilder’s team were involved in a thrilling match in the last round, as a 95th-minute winner against Mansfield sent them through.
