Nottingham Forest are said to be prepared to splash out a significant sum to sign goalkeeper Dean Henderson in the summer.
The Reds clinched Premier League survival with a game to spare thanks to Saturday’s 1-0 win over Arsenal. And that means they can start planning for another season in the top-flight.
Which division Forest found themselves in next term was always going to have a big impact on their transfer business in the upcoming window. Staying up means they have a better chance of securing the services of the likes of Henderson.

The Reds are prepared to do a deal for up to £30 million for the Manchester United loanee, according to the Manchester Evening News. It is said the salary they would be prepared to offer has already been indicated, having completely covered the 26-year-old’s £110,000 a week wages while he has been at the City Ground.
Henderson is under contract at United until 2025, with the option for an additional year beyond that. However, his future at Old Trafford is uncertain, amid suggestions No.1 David de Gea is expected to sign a new contract.
Henderson is a popular figure Trentside and has continued to attend matches while sidelined, including joining in the celebrations at the weekend. He impressed during the first half of the campaign, but he has been out of action since January due to a thigh injury which recently required surgery after he suffered a setback.
Asked whether he envisaged working with Henderson again, head coach Steve Cooper said earlier this month: “Hard to say. I have enjoyed working with him, we have all enjoyed Dean and the personality he is.
“What supporters mainly see is when he has been in goal for us, but there is more to him than that. He is a real good professional, he really cares, he has a fantastic mentality of winning and wanting to be the best.
“We have really enjoyed working with him and we are grateful for what he has given us, and what he will continue to give us, because I’m sure he will still be around and quite visible. With Dean, he is on loan from Manchester United but he really bought into the football club and even the city, moving here and making it a permanent base for the loan.
"He showed he really wanted to be part of it, on and off the pitch. We have had great commitment from Dean, even when he hasn't been available in the last few months.”
