Man United 'reignite' Chelsea transfer interest over shock £37m move

Manchester United have reportedly reignited their transfer interest in Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic.

The USMNT star was linked with a move to Old Trafford in the summer following the arrival of Raheem Sterling. It was widely reported that Pulisic had been offered to Man United as the player faced a a possible exit from Stamford Bridge.

A move never materialised and he remained part of the Blues' squad. Under Graham Potter, the 24 year-old has continued to find starts hard to come by following the January signings of Joao Felix, Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk.

Pulisic has continued to be linked with a move away from Chelsea throughout the season. An injury at the start of the year meant no winter deal was sanctioned - despite interest from the likes of Galatasaray - but his future continues to be unclear ahead of what is expected to be another busy transfer window.

Now, it has emerged that Premier League rivals Man United have rekindled their interest in the forward and are considering a possible move in the summer transfer window. Erik ten Hag currently has number of quality options in attack in Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho.

However, with Todd Boehly expected to implement further changes to Potter's playing squad ahead of the 2023/24 season, Pulisic could be one of the players sold on as he enters the final two years of his deal.

According to the Daily Express, Chelsea will aim to get a higher fee for the American star and will seek close to £37million. The winger has previously been linked with a transfer to Old Trafford, including a failed move in 2019 under Jose Mourinho.
