Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is facing somewhat of a selection headache heading into his side's clash with Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon, with Marcus Rashford a doubt for the Premier League match.
Rashford withdrew from the England squad for their European Championship qualifying matches due to a toe injury he picked up during Man United's 3-1 win over Fulham in the FA Cup. He was pictured in New York during the international break and has since returned to training at Carrington.
"Marcus Rashford has started his recovery at Carrington after sustaining an injury in our last fixture, the Emirates FA Cup quarter-final win over Fulham," a club statement read on Monday. "Marcus was able to get out on the grass at our training base on Monday but the Reds' leading goalscorer could only take part in a small session, away from the main group."

The club also confirmed that there was no ball work involved for the 25-year-old and added: "Rashford's fitness will be a concern heading into the Premier League clash at Newcastle United on Sunday." Newcastle supporters will be all too familiar with this however, as the forward was also a doubt for the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
Elsewhere, Ten Hag has further concerns with Raphael Varane returning to fitness following a small knock suffered before the international break. Alejandro Garnacho did not take part in Argentina's friendly matches over the last 10 days as an ankle injury has also made him a doubt for Sunday.
Casemiro's suspension for the game combined with Marcel Sabitzer's knee injury likely means that Scott McTominay and Fred will team up in the middle of the park.
Christian Eriksen, Anthony Martial and Donny van de Beek are all unavailable, with further updates expected from Ten Hag during his press conference on Friday.
Predicted Manchester United XI to take on Newcastle (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez, Shaw; McTominay, Fred; Antony, Fernandes, Rashford; Weghorst.
