Man United icon Gary Neville mocks Liverpool FC's failed title bid with Sir Alex Ferguson post

It hasn't taken long for Manchester United great Gary Neville to poke fun at Liverpool after they missed out on the Premier League title in dramatic circumstances on Sunday afternoon. Manchester City were in pole position to defend their crown on the final day and they did exactly that with one or two twists along the way.

Germany midfielder Ilkay Gundogan came off the bench to ensure the trophy stayed in Manchester with two late goals in a 3-2 victory over Aston Villa, meaning Liverpool's win over Wolves was not enough to crash the party at the Etihad Stadium.

City and Liverpool were both trailing at one stage and it looked as though Jurgen Klopp and his team might have been able to make a late charge to keep their quadruple dreams alive. Having already got their hands on two domestic cups, Liverpool also have a Champions League final in Paris to look forward to.
