Man United complete signing of new goalkeeper after sending Andre Onana back out on loan

  • Manchester United have completed the signing of 35-year-old Wales international goalkeeper Karl Darlow on a free transfer from rivals Leeds United.
  • Darlow has signed a two-year contract with an option for an additional 12 months at Old Trafford, where he is expected to serve as back-up to Senne Lammens.
  • His arrival follows the expected departure of current back-up Altay Bayindir and the loaning out of Andre Onana to Trabzonspor, while veteran Tom Heaton recently extended his contract.
  • Darlow brings significant experience, having made 38 appearances for Leeds, including 22 in the Premier League, and previously played in the top flight for Newcastle, alongside earning 15 international caps.
  • This signing marks Manchester United's second in as many days, following the acquisition of Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos, with the club also close to securing Aston Villa's Youri Tielemans.
