Man United and Arsenal may have missed their Miguel Almiron chance after summer 'interest'

Miguel Almiron has always enjoyed support from Newcastle United's passionate fanbase - even when he wasn't scoring goals for fun. Now, after a superb start to the season, he is catching the eye of other Premier League clubs, supporters and the media.

Almiron 's agent, Daniel Campos, insists his client has always been a man in demand. While the likes of Everton, Fulham and Sevilla were touted with a move in the summer, Campos claims it was actually Manchester United and Arsenal who were sniffing around for a deal before the season kicked off.

"Miguel Almiron is a footballer who went from less to more, now he is a more complete footballer," Campos said last month. "There was interest shown by Manchester United in Miguel but they never made an offer. Arsenal and Southampton offered loan deals for him but we did not want it to be a loan."
