Man tries to buy jacket at ALO. The worker’s response to a simple question has him staying home for the rest of the holidays: ‘Stop playing with me’

Holiday shopping can be stressful, but for TikToker Jimmy Murrill (@jimmyrantz), one particular experience at ALO was enough for him to give up altogether.

This happened during a particularly stressful trip to ALO, which Murrill recounted in a clip that has amassed 367,800 views.

“I swear, I can’t leave the house again because everybody in the general public is going to get a holiday [expletive] whooping from me,” he told viewers.

He shares, “I was just at ALO. I see this jacket I like. I was like, ‘Could I see the black one in an XL?’ [The store assistant] goes in the back, comes back empty-handed.”

The assistant then told him that they didn’t have the jacket in XL, which led to Murrill asking if they had one in white. In turn, the assistant replied that they didn’t have the jacket in white.

“I’m looking at the mannequin,” he continued. “There’s a white jacket on the mannequin. I was like, ‘That color right there?’ She’s like, ‘Oh, that’s bone.'”

At this point, Murrill lost patience. As if he was still talking to her, he said, “[Expletive], go get me the [expletive] jacket before I freak the [expletive] out!”

Murrill didn’t immediately respond to The Mary Sue’s request for comment via TikTok comment.

What did the commenters think?

Based on the comments, Murrill wasn’t the only one with this experience.

“No bc they did this to me at Coach!” one claimed. “‘You mean chalk?’ …don’t [expletive] me off.”

A second shared, “[I] was at Trader Joes and asked for almond milk… ‘You mean almond beverage,’ man, go get the damn milk like I have had a long day.”

While a third said, “I went to Coach and I asked for the color maroon/wine. Sales associate: ‘Um that’s the color maple.’ Girrll shut up and give me my purse.”

Even those who hadn’t experienced the situation admitted that they, too, would be frustrated.

“Bone is INSANE,” a fourth remarked.

Meanwhile, a fifth wrote, “LMAO I would have lost my [expletive]! Like girl I’m already on edge don’t [expletive] me off.”

And a sixth agreed: “I need humans to start thinking and stop playing with people, cause that would’ve sent me into a rage that is not holly nor jolly.”

ALO didn’t immediately respond to The Mary Sue’s request for comment via contact form.

More ALO disappointment

This isn’t the only time ALO has disappointed customers during the festive season.

During the brand’s Black Friday sale, TikTok user Olympia Trihas (@olympiafuckingtrihas) went viral after revealing how her ALO-emblazoned hoodie had two letters fall off, leaving the $148 garment with just the letter ‘O.’

While she later got a replacement sweatshirt, she told The Mary Sue that she didn’t think she would get one if her video didn’t go viral. “If I did not have a viral video, I really do not think they would have offered a replacement,” she said.
