Man to appear in court over Nottinghamshire collision which killed mum-of-two

A 48-year-old man has been summonsed to court to face a charge of causing the death of a married mum-of-two by dangerous driving. Aimi McCaffery, aged 46, died after being hit by a car while she was out jogging.

The mum-of-two died as a result of her injuries after she was hit by a BMW along Cropwell Road, close to where it turns into Radcliffe Road, in Cropwell Butler. The collision happened at around 8.50am on May 15, 2022.

Glen Widdowson, of Addington Court, Radcliffe-on-Trent, will appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday July 20, 2023.
