A shop staff in Dublin was threatened with a knife during a daylight robbery on Monday.
Gardai responded to a report that a man had entered the shop in Blackrock and had been armed with a knife.
He entered the premises on Rockville Road and made a number of threats to the staff inside.
He then fled the scene with a sum of cash before Gardai attended the incident.
Searches of the area were conducted and the suspect was located.
A Garda spokesperson told the Irish Mirror: "A man aged in his 50s was arrested and taken to Blackrock Garda Station where he is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984."
No Injuries were reported, and the stolen sum of cash was recovered in full.
The spokesperson concluded: "Investigations are ongoing."
